Alfred Mukunya, Founder & Principal Consultant
Alfred Mukunya is a leader in enterprise technology, finance, and IT strategy, with extensive experience guiding organizations through digital transformation, risk management, and infrastructure modernization. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University, and a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Over the course of his career, Alfred has worked with startups, financial institutions, public-sector organizations, and global enterprises, developing scalable technology strategies that drive efficiency, security, and operational resilience.

His professional experience includes:
Leading financial and risk technology transformations at JPMorgan Chase, where he oversaw the measurement, monitoring, and reporting of $94B in climate-related financial exposure.
Developing and launching SwapViewer®, an enterprise risk management (ERM) platform adopted by over 200 institutional clients, including government entities and financial institutions.
Building FEMI™ (Flood Exposure and Mitigation Index), the first global flood risk index incorporating AI-powered analytics to help governments and NGOs assess and mitigate climate risks.
Heading financial risk advisory teams at PFM Swap Advisors LLC, managing interest rate risk for municipal and healthcare clients, overseeing more than $5B in annual transactions.
Designing financial and technology solutions for institutions including Chatham Financial, Citibank, and TD Bank, focusing on structured finance, derivatives trading, and risk management.
Throughout his career, Alfred has been at the intersection of technology and finance, leading complex, high-impact projects while building and implementing solutions that drive measurable results.


Michael P. Novak, Ph.D., Senior Credit Risk and Analytics Specialist
Michael Novak is a quantitative risk expert with nearly three decades of experience in credit risk modeling, model validation, and regulatory risk governance across major U.S. financial institutions. At EverLight, he provides specialist expertise in underwriting analytics, risk assessment frameworks, and analytical model governance for complex financial system engagements.

His professional experience includes:
Leading model risk management audits at U.S. Bank, conducting quantitative audit oversight across CCAR, CECL, ALM, credit scoring, and market risk frameworks, serving as subject matter expert under OCC 2011, SR 11-7, and SR 15-19 regulatory standards.
Directing commercial credit risk model validation at GE Capital, validating probability of default, loss given default, and energy sector stress testing models, and managing consulting teams from Deloitte, Protiviti, and McKinsey supporting validation work.
Building credit classification and capital adequacy frameworks at Farmer Mac, developing loan-level default models and risk-based capital stress tests that supported a mortgage portfolio growing from $0.5B to $5B with lifetime losses below 0.12%.
Managing portfolio risk at Discover Financial Services and Student Loan Corporation (Citigroup), designing credit risk methodologies for ALLL estimation, Basel regulatory capital, and lifetime loss modeling across multi-billion dollar portfolios.
He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Financial Economics from Cornell University and a B.Sc. in Business Economics from Rutgers University.


Baylor Eaton, Senior Consultant
Baylor Eaton brings client management, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement expertise to EverLight’s consulting engagements. At EverLight, she supports business process documentation, workshop facilitation, deliverable preparation, and project communications across complex institutional engagements.

Her professional experience includes:
Managing a portfolio of over 60 active client accounts at P2H, representing approximately $1.2 million in annual revenue, coordinating more than 150 projects annually from initial engagement through delivery while leading executive-level client meetings and quarterly business reviews.
Working cross-functionally with technical and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery, contributing to internal documentation, service development, and stakeholder communications across engagements.
She holds a B.A. in Global Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
